My father needed help and the hospital recommended Skye Canyon for interim rehab while decisions of his future care could be determined. I was relieved to find out, through working with Theresa, just how caring and mindful all the staff are at Skye Canyon.
My father and I had nothing set up for these life-changing moments, but yet our experience was more than I ever expected. From intake on, Theresa was in constant contact with me while she worked on my fathers behalf to insure his future, even after discharge, would be acceptable. I admire Skye Canyon's resources, Theresa found my father aftercare when there wasn't much at all available in our area, Skye Canyon worked above and beyond all of my expectations in caring for my father life during and after his stay.
Regrettably, I had very little time to attend to his affairs and when Skye Canyon admitted my father, they immediately started working on his physical and mental needs while assigning staff to work on aftercare and dramatic changes to his life. Theresa worked through every obstacle to insure my dad's comfort during and after hia stay. In a word, "Incredible" what Skye Canyon and Theresa were able to accomplish and today my father is so much more like his old self, happy with his placement and optimistic with life again. I would recommend to everyone to contact Skye Canyon Rehabilitation if a loved one needs help. Rj

My daughter is currently a patient at Mission Point. As other reviews indicate, the facility is not perfect. However, no facility is. We knew this in advance of choosing Mission Point. However, I visited Mission Point and another skilled nursing facility before choosing. The other place was significantly higher rated. It was newer and brighter. We chose Mission Point because the staff I met were warmer and the place felt more like a family environment than an “institution.” Also importantly, a number of the staff were new and committed to making improvements. I believed in their sincerity and in their likelihood of near-term and long-term success.
Overall, my daughter has received very good care during her extended stay. Almost all of the staff is very caring, friendly, and helpful. Of most importance, when there has been a problem, the administrators and supervisors have invested their attention and energy to get it corrected.
My wife and I live out-of-state. Due to the critical nature of our daughter’s health problems, we remained in Las Vegas for 8 weeks, the last several of them while she was at Mission Point. We were able to return home when we saw first-hand that she was in the care of people we could trust to watch over her. Thank you, Mission Point. Keep up the good work.

One of my adult children had to spend a week here post surgery. We were very impressed with the facility and would stay here again if necessary. Small facility, excellent care, private rooms. Staff is competent and pleasant. Physical Therapy was excellent.

The place has recently changed names to Mission Point Transitional Care. I’ve been here since the end of April. I have had nothing but excellent care from nurses, CNA’s, and the physical & occupational therapists.

Every room is private and the hospital bed has no guard rails (which could be a safety issue), but the room reminds me of a someone’s home bedroom, with a dresser, bedside cabinet and flat screen tv. Each bathroom has a roll-in shower with a shower bench. The floor is carpeted, and no cold linoleum.

One individual, the activities director, Theresa goes out of her way to see if patients want to come and do various activities. She also offers a coffee bar with lattes during the morning on weekdays. I was able to do painting, make jewelry, play games with other patients. If it wasn’t for Theresa, I would have been bored out of mind. Although they have cable tv, you can only watch so much tv, sleep or whatever in your room.

The hospital has a garden atrium which is home to a desert tortoise named, Wild Bill. He’s super friendly and comes right to you.
It was good to be able to go outside and visit with Bill. See photos.

I do recommend Mission Point therapy hospital. I get discharged in two days.

I was there for one month and received the best care.
At the beginning reading the reviews, I was upset and let myself be influency by them.
The following day, and weeks after, I realized how hard I was onto the staff. They were implementing a new system as they had a new owner to take them to the bestcare we can get.
Yes, like any place priority as the si kess patient and you may have to wait a little when you are most independent then the others.
PT and the OT department is ex Ellenton when patients cooperate
I was witness to both ends (throne that wants to do.therapy and the one they do not). Food is great, sometimes you encou ter things you do not like, but they offer meds.
The stt nurses and CNA (specially are always busy but helpful.
I will.say try it, given them and opportunity, if I haveto have surgery again easereserve me a spot. (Maybe sooner then I think)
